Childcare Center
The goal of Side by Side Tanzania is to assist with the care of one hundred parentless children. This project includes the organization of school and vocational training fees, the supply of the home’s basic food needs, provision of medical care and assistance and renovation of housing and facilities. The project also includes a micro farming program designed to generate income and support for the center.
Direct Aid
Shipments of donated building materials, medical equipment, school materials and clothing originating in Europe were distributed nationwide. Particular focus was on organizations catering to the underprivileged and rural communities of the Itapua region, one of the most impoverished areas of Paraguay.
Empowerment Through Education
MOVE is a training course which builds volunteerism and leadership, empowering the participants to make a positive impact in the community. The program uses creative media presentations and interactive activities to provide participants with the requisite knowledge and leadership skills to organize and conduct a community project.
Disaster Relief
Coastal communities devastated by the Tsunami tragedy have been revitalized through the supply of more than 150 fishing boats and assistance in rehabilitating farming land. A school and hostel were built in one village providing an educational center for many in the surrounding areas.
